Hdmi To Vga Converter Picture Quality
A recent e mail asked about it so i m including it.
Hdmi to vga converter picture quality. I have 1 laptop that still has a vga connection and need to use to connect to a hdmi only tv. In the right conditions the answer is no. You would have to be awful close to the screen to make this look that fuzzy on vga.
But regarding the picture quality since i am using the vga cable picture quality is not upto the mark. Some people seem to think that vga looks like composite or something. It is not that bad.
The issue however may. What is the quality of the vga to hdmi converters like and does it significantly affect the picture quality. Low bad quality or no signal may be indicative of something as simple as having the wrong vga to hdmi interface cable in place to a faulty hdmi connector.
The first one is that vga is an analog interface. Ime vga to vga wasn t as good as dvi to dvi so am worried that using vga at all will be crappy picture. Unlike vga hdmi supports audio too apart from video.
Vga aka pc rgb d sub 15 the old school vga connector is a cable of last resort. Also the size of hdmi connectors is very small compared to vga connectors and hence it is heavily used in small devices such as phones and tablets. Dvi to hdmi connectors or dvi to dvi.
In some situations it may be necessary to send a vga signal from a computer to an hdmi connection on a newer display tv or projector. Addressing the signal issues between the high definition multimedia interface to the video graphics array interface starts with identifying the type of problem that you are experiencing. A quality converter from a good manufacturer like extron would maintain the resolution colors and the sync.
